Maryland has become a prime destination for big name breweries. With several being located in the BWI region, we think it’s only right that you have a chance to experience them all. Follow this three-day itinerary to get served the best craft brew in the business.


After checking in at your hotel, head over to DuClaw Craft Beer, Bar & Grill at Arundel Mills to get your brewhouse weekend started. Enjoy a delicious meal with your choice of a seasonal or staple beer. Serving up favorites such as pale ales, sour beers, lagers, stouts, blonde ales, and more.


Start your tour with a shuttle service picking you up straight from your hotel. Head out to Heavy Seas Brewery to indulge in award-winning favorites like Loose Cannon and Cutlass in their taproom. Next stop is Jailbreak Brewing Company in Laurel, Maryland. This microbrewery is known for producing great tasting ales. Plus, they just added a new kitchen offering up house-made pub favorites. It’s the perfect spot to re-fuel and get ready for the second half. Head southeast, where two new breweries paying tribute to the Chesapeake Bay area located – Crooked Crab Brewing Company and Chesepiooc Real Ale Brewery. These two taprooms offer a variety of brews a few days a week to a thirst-seeking crowd. Finish off the day at the “Sailing Capital of the U.S.”, Annapolis. Here you will find one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants to fit everyone’s tastes.


Visit Maryland’s own Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House – the only one in the United States. This world-class brewery is a destination all in its own, featuring on-site tours, a tasting room, and gift shop. Enjoy brews like the Guinness IPA, Crosslands Pale Ale, and Guinness Blonde American Lager. It is a beer lovers paradise. Only 10 miles from the Inner Harbor, finish your day exploring the Inner Harbor. With a number of restaurants, and daily events and activities – you won’t want to miss out.
